01. Excel AI Tools, Workbook Setup and Safe Data · 1.5 guided hours
Compare AI inside Excel with chat and file-based assistance. Prepare useful tables, identify the source data and choose the right tool for the task. Work with suitable training data and keep a recoverable copy before making changes.
Guided practice: Prepare a messy business workbook and a clear task brief.
02. AI for Excel Formulas and Error Fixing · 2.5 guided hours
Generate, explain and improve formulas with AI. Practise lookups, conditions, totals and date or text logic. Check ranges, references, missing values and results against examples rather than accepting a formula because it looks correct.
Guided practice: Fix a broken formula and test the revised version on normal and unusual records.
03. AI for Data Cleaning and Power Query · 3 guided hours
Use AI to help plan and explain data-cleaning steps. Standardise text and dates, find duplicates, combine files and inspect joins. Build selected Power Query transformations that can be refreshed when the next file arrives.
Guided practice: Clean a multi-file dataset and reconcile the record counts.
04. AI for Excel Data Analysis · 3 guided hours
Turn a business question into useful spreadsheet analysis. Explore trends, comparisons, PivotTables and exceptions with Copilot and ChatGPT. Check assumptions, calculations and explanations against the underlying cells.
Guided practice: Analyse sales, project or operational results and identify what the data does and does not support.
05. AI for Excel Reports and Dashboards · 3 guided hours
Create useful charts, KPI summaries and reporting commentary. Ask AI to help with layout and explanations while keeping labels, units and calculations accurate. Build a management report that answers a clear business question.
Guided practice: Prepare a dashboard and concise commentary from your checked analysis.
06. AI for Repeated Excel Tasks · 2 guided hours
Plan recurring workbook steps and keep instructions that another person can follow. Practise refresh routines and a selected guided script or VBA-assistance example. Test changes on a copy and keep a way to undo them.
Guided practice: Document and test a repeatable monthly reporting task.
07. Check AI Results and Work in Arabic and English · 2 guided hours
Check totals, row counts, formulas, missing records and source consistency. Review changes before sharing a workbook. Practise Arabic-English labels and commentary, with checks for names, dates, number formats and business meaning.
Guided practice: Find planted errors in an AI-assisted report and prepare a bilingual summary.
08. Excel AI Capstone: Build and Review a Reporting Workflow · 3 guided hours
Bring the methods together in one complete workbook task. Start with raw data, clean it, calculate the results, prepare a report and document the checks. Receive structured feedback and improve the final workbook.
Guided practice: Complete an operations, commercial or finance-reporting case and explain how it can be repeated.

You practise both native AI workbook assistance and chat or file-based methods. Features can vary by account, app version and organisation settings. Selected script assistance is guided; this is not a full coding, Power BI or agent-development course.

How to Check AI Spreadsheet Results
AI can give a confident explanation and still use the wrong calculation. Learn simple checks that catch the mistake.
Example: a weighted average that looks right—but is not
You need the average unit price across three sales lines. An AI assistant suggests averaging the unit prices. That ignores the different quantities sold.

Wrong approach: =AVERAGE(C2:C4) gives SAR 200.
Checked approach: =SUMPRODUCT(B2:B4,C2:C4)/SUM(B2:B4) gives SAR 260.
Why: total revenue is SAR 26,000 and total quantity is 100. The average realised price per unit is therefore SAR 260. The formula must match the business question—not just produce a plausible number.

Will I learn Power Query and dashboards?

Do I need coding skills?
No coding background is required. The course includes selected guided assistance for repeated tasks, not a full VBA, Python or software-development programme.
Can I upload company spreadsheets to an AI tool?
Not automatically. Check the data involved, your organisation’s approved tools, permissions and applicable requirements first. Training uses suitable sanitised or approved files and a review-before-upload approach—not a public AI tool as the default destination for company information.
Is Arabic or bilingual Excel AI training available?
Yes. English, Arabic and bilingual delivery are available. Practical work can include Arabic-English labels, reporting commentary and checks for names, dates and number formats.
How is this different from Microsoft 365 Copilot training?
This course goes deeper into spreadsheet workflows using selected AI methods. The Microsoft 365 Copilot Course covers broader Microsoft productivity across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
Is this course only for finance professionals?
