Does passing the exam automatically make me a PECB Certified ISO 55001 Lead Implementer?
No. Passing the exam makes you eligible to apply for a PECB credential, but the designation granted depends on verified professional and AMS implementation experience. Under PECB’s current requirements, the Lead Implementer designation requires five years of professional experience, including two years in asset management, plus 300 hours of AMS project activity. Candidates with less experience may qualify for another level, such as Provisional Implementer or Implementer.
Is this course based on ISO 55001:2024 or the older 2014 edition?
The course is based on the current ISO 55001:2024 edition. It replaced ISO 55001:2014 and strengthens areas including decision-making, asset-management planning, risk and opportunity, data and knowledge, lifecycle operations and continual improvement.
