Practical Project: From Source Notes to a Management Report

A service rollout covers Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province. A supplier is late, two teams need the same specialist and the meeting notes conflict with the progress workbook.

1. Check the source

Compare the scope, meeting record, schedule and actual data. Mark missing or conflicting information before asking AI to summarise it.

2. Build the project pack

Draft the action register, RAID update, change-impact note and status report. Tie important statements to the source evidence.

3. Review and approve

Check figures, dates, owners and milestone acceptance. Produce a short sponsor update and a bilingual stakeholder summary.

A worked correction: “The milestone is complete”

The AI draft says the rollout milestone is complete because most activities are marked done. The acceptance record, however, is still unsigned. A sound response is to report the milestone as awaiting acceptance, show the completed work separately and assign an owner and date for sign-off. Confirm the supplier delay and resource conflict, update the issue register and explain their effect on the next milestone. The project manager reviews the final update before it is sent.

Why this matters: a fluent report is not necessarily a correct report. The course teaches you to check the evidence behind the project status, not just polish the wording.

Not automatically. Check data classification, confidential or personal information, your organisation’s approved tools, contractual safeguards and applicable Saudi requirements before uploading. Training uses sanitised information and a review-before-upload process.

Can AI create a reliable project schedule or status report?

AI can help draft and review them, but reliability depends on the source information and the checks applied. Verify dependencies, resource assumptions, calculations, milestone acceptance and completion evidence before approving an output.

Is this a PMP or PMI AI certification course?

No. This is practical workplace training with an EduDelphi course-completion certificate. It does not prepare candidates for a PMP or external AI certification examination and does not claim PMI-issued credentials.
