Shyam Sarrof
CPA (USA), CMA (USA), ACA, ACMA, CS, CFA, ACTM, MBA, B.Com (H)
22+ Years in Finance, Management Accounting, Controls & Advisory
Shyam brings 22+ years of professional experience across finance, management accounting, controls, strategy and business advisory into US CMA preparation. For learners in Oman, he connects the CMA syllabus with practical decision-making across energy, manufacturing, logistics, banking, trading and large corporate environments.
His sessions make topics such as planning and budgeting, performance management, cost management, internal controls, financial analysis, corporate finance and strategic decision-making easier to understand by showing the business logic behind them.
Shyam is particularly strong at helping candidates interpret scenario-based CMA questions, identify what the examiner is really testing and connect calculations with the management decision behind the answer.
Avijit Goswami
CMA (USA), CPA (USA), FCS, FCMA, LLB, CFA, M.Com
Senior CMA Faculty | Exam Strategy, Finance & Management Accounting
Avijit brings a highly structured and exam-focused approach to US CMA Part 1 and Part 2, helping working professionals in Oman turn a broad syllabus into a disciplined preparation plan.
His sessions focus heavily on MCQ technique, calculation speed, case-based scenarios, question interpretation, mock analysis and targeted revision. Across budgeting, costing, variance analysis, performance management, financial statements, corporate finance and investment decisions, Avijit helps learners understand both the concept and how it is likely to be tested.
A major part of his approach is analysing mistakes. He identifies whether the problem came from concept understanding, formula selection, calculation, interpretation or exam technique, then uses that insight to make revision more effective.

See How We Teach the New CMA Case-Based Format
We use short business scenarios to practise calculation, judgement and explanation before the official exam.
Original EduDelphi practice scenario
A manufacturing company has unused production capacity and receives a one-time special order below its normal selling price. The order would require incremental materials and labour but would not increase fixed manufacturing overhead.
Task 2: Calculate the incremental contribution from accepting the order.
Task 3: Select the non-financial factor management should assess before accepting it.
How your trainer breaks it down
Relevant costs: Focus first on the extra materials, labour and any other costs that change because of the order. Fixed overhead that remains unchanged is not an incremental cost for this decision.
Contribution: Compare the special-order revenue with the relevant incremental costs. The calculation matters, but the reasoning behind which costs belong in it matters just as much.
Management judgement: Consider capacity use, customer relationships, future pricing expectations, quality requirements and whether the special order could affect normal business.
This is an original EduDelphi learning scenario created for teaching. It is not an official, recalled or live CMA examination question.

Important CMA Exam Answers for Oman Candidates
How long do I have to pass both CMA exams?
IMA currently requires candidates to complete both examination parts within three years of entering the CMA programme. A passed part can expire if the programme is not completed in that period.
Do I have to take CMA Part 1 before Part 2?
No. IMA allows candidates to take Part 1 and Part 2 in either order. Your sequence should reflect your background, target testing window and preparation plan.
Can I take the US CMA exam online from home in Oman?
No. IMA currently states that remote testing is not available for the CMA exam. Candidates sit the examination through authorised Prometric test centres. Check live availability before finalising an exam date or travel plan.
Can I take the CMA exam in Oman?
CMA examinations are administered through Prometric. Test-centre availability can change, so Oman candidates should check the live ICMA/Prometric scheduling system before selecting an exam date. EduDelphi can guide candidates through the scheduling process.
Can I add practical AI skills alongside CMA?
Yes. The separate AI for Finance course in Oman teaches practical analysis, forecasting and reporting with Excel and AI. It complements your professional knowledge; it is not part of the CMA exam syllabus or credential requirements.
How do I maintain CMA certification after passing?
Under current IMA rules, CMAs report 30 hours of continuing professional education each year, including at least two ethics hours, and maintain the applicable membership and annual maintenance requirements.
