This CIA course supports Dubai and UAE professionals who need stronger capability in internal audit, governance, risk and controls. Choose classroom, hybrid, live-online or corporate delivery, then prepare through trainer-led sessions, recordings, an AI-enabled LMS, full Gleim Review access, books and question-bank resources, 5,000+ questions, mock exams and clear official IIA planning.
CIA is the IIA credential for internal audit, governance, risk and controls
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is designed for professionals who test controls, support audit engagements, assess risk, report findings or want to move into stronger assurance responsibilities. It develops the judgment behind audit planning, evidence, communication and audit-function effectiveness.
For Dubai and UAE professionals, that means a clearer approach to risk-based planning, control evaluation, audit evidence and conversations with business stakeholders.
CIA is usually a strong fit when your role involves:
- Internal-audit planning, fieldwork, evidence or audit findings.
- Internal controls, risk, compliance, governance or GRC responsibilities.
- External audit experience and a deliberate move toward in-house assurance.
- Finance, operations or technology controls with a need for broader audit judgment.
Choose the official CIA route that fits your background
The IIA, not EduDelphi, makes the final eligibility decision. You may take the traditional CIA exams before completing the required work experience; certification is issued after you meet the applicable programme requirements.
| Candidate profile | Traditional CIA route | What to discuss with us |
|---|---|---|
| Master’s degree or equivalent | 1 year of qualifying internal-audit or related experience is required for certification. | Part order, work-experience documentation and a realistic study sequence. |
| Bachelor’s degree or equivalent | 2 years of qualifying internal-audit or related experience is required for certification. | How to plan all three parts around your current role. |
| Active IAP holder | Receives a CIA Part 1 waiver. Experience requirements depend on education; without a qualifying degree, current IIA rules require 5 years of qualifying experience, including 2 years within the past 3 years. | How your IAP status and education affect the CIA route. |
| Student / no qualifying degree yet | Can begin through the Internal Audit Practitioner pathway and later progress into CIA. | Whether IAP is the appropriate starting point and how to plan progression. |
| Qualified CPA/CA, active CISA or experienced audit professional | You may be eligible to explore a CIA Challenge route. The experienced-professional route currently requires at least 10 years in internal audit or qualifying related fields. | Whether the traditional three-part route or Challenge option is suitable. |
Official routes, documents and experience requirements can change. Check the current eligibility route with The IIA before registering.
Choose CIA when audit, risk and controls decisions are central to your work
CIA is preparation for The IIA’s professional Certified Internal Auditor credential, with formal eligibility requirements and a three-part examination route. It should not be confused with a short internal-auditing attendance or completion course.
CIA preparation is most valuable when it makes you more confident about the reasoning behind an audit response: what to test first, what evidence is persuasive, how a control links to risk, and how to communicate a finding clearly.
That relevance crosses UAE banks, regulated businesses, free-zone groups, consulting, real estate, aviation, logistics, telecom and diversified corporate environments.
Internal-audit lens
Strengthen planning, engagement work, evidence, results and follow-up across the audit lifecycle.
Governance lens
Connect control effectiveness, risk assessment and assurance to practical business priorities.

Build momentum without stepping away from your audit career
Audit deadlines, fieldwork and reporting periods do not pause for an exam. Combine live faculty guidance with recordings, structured revision, mocks and an AI LMS so missed live time does not become lost progress.

- Weekend classroom and weekday-evening live-online options, subject to the current batch plan.

Discuss the correct CIA route before you buy study material

- Active CISA holders may be eligible to explore the Challenge option.
- Professionals with at least 10 years of qualifying experience in internal audit or related fields may be eligible under The IIA’s current experienced-professional Challenge pathway.
