What Is the UAE Labour Law?
For most UAE private-sector employment relationships within the federal framework, the core legislation is Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 Regarding the Regulation of Employment Relationships, as amended. This 18+ hour practical course covers MoHRE requirements, employment contracts, probation, wages and WPS, working time, leave, end-of-service benefits/gratuity (EOSB), termination, disputes and employee documentation.
Learn through live classroom training in Dubai or UAE-time live online sessions with practical cases, calculations, mind maps and trainer feedback. The course also teaches when DIFC, ADGM, government employment, domestic workers or another distinct framework requires separate checking.

UAE Labour Law 2026: Current Law & Recent Updates
For most private-sector employment relationships under the federal framework, the core legislation remains Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, as amended. Later legislation and official procedures have changed specific provisions and workflows, so HR teams should use current consolidated legislation and MoHRE guidance rather than assume that a single new “2026 Labour Law” replaced the framework.
The course teaches a repeatable process: identify the applicable jurisdiction, verify the current official source, and connect the requirement to the contract, payroll record, employee file and facts.

Upgraded Wage Protection System
MoHRE launched an upgraded WPS in December 2025 with real-time data integration and expanded digital salary-management channels. MoHRE reports that WPS covers more than 99% of private-sector workers.
AED 6,000 minimum for Emiratis
From 1 January 2026, MoHRE set the minimum monthly wage for Emiratis employed in the private sector at AED 6,000, with transition and enforcement dates applying to affected establishments.
Basic health-insurance expansion
The federal basic health-insurance scheme applies to targeted private-sector employees and domestic workers in Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain for relevant residence-permit issuance or renewal from 1 January 2025.
Digitised MoHRE services
MoHRE announced further 2026 simplification and digitisation across work-permit data, establishment services and work-permit cancellation. HR teams still need accurate records even when the transaction becomes faster.
UAE Employment Contracts, Probation, WPS, Leave & EOSB
Build practical judgement around what to check, calculate, document and escalate across the employee lifecycle.
Identify the right framework
Separate federal private-sector matters from DIFC, ADGM, government and domestic-worker routes.
Review hiring documents
Check offers, contracts, probation records and onboarding files for gaps and inconsistencies.
Work through payroll cases
Apply stronger checking logic to wages, WPS, hours, overtime, leave and supporting records.
Improve case documentation
Build clearer chronologies, evidence files, warnings, investigation notes and decision records.
Validate exits and settlements
Review notice, resignation, termination, end-of-service benefits/gratuity (EOSB) and final dues using structured calculations.
Use AI responsibly
Use approved tools for first-pass assistance while protecting data and verifying every legal or numerical output.

Applied exercise: Route four fictional UAE employment cases to the correct framework and source.
Learner output: UAE employment-law framework and escalation map.
2. Employment Contracts, Offer Letters & Probation

Learner output: Contract, onboarding and probation review worksheet.
3. Working Hours, Attendance, Overtime, Wages & WPS

Learner output: Working-time, payroll and WPS control checklist.

Ordinary free zones should also be verified against the relevant authority and applicable federal rules.
