The CIMA is a certification for finance consultants or investment advisors, issued by an organization called the Investments and Wealth Institute(IWI).
here are 4 steps for earning a CIMA qualification:
- Submit an online application for the certification program
- Complete the CIMA training program
- Pass the CIMA certification exam from an approved testing center
- Pass a secondary background check and show a document with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in financial service. Sign a License Agreement, and pay an initial certification fee.
It can take up to 6 to 9 months to complete the program and earn CIMA certification.
To become a CIMA-certified professional, you must have three years of work experience in financial service and you also need to possess a satisfactory ethical record determined by the Investments and Wealth Institute (IWI).
