How scoring works without the myths
A scaled score is not a percentage
ASCM reports a score from 200 to 350, with 300 as the pass mark. It does not publish a fixed raw-score percentage that every candidate needs. A score of 300 does not mean 300 questions correct.
Answer every question
Pretest items are mixed into the exam and are not labelled. Because candidates cannot know which questions they are, leaving a question unanswered is not a useful strategy.
What the published rules cannot tell you
ASCM does not publish a universal CSCP pass rate, a conversion from scaled score to a raw correct-answer percentage, or the identity of pretest questions. Be cautious with sites claiming to know any of those figures.
